Test Manager

We have a requirement for a strong Test Manager. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Windows based technologies and strong leadership experience in a high volume transaction-processing environment. The Test Manager's primary responsibility will be working within a project team, co-ordinating with the PM, the development lead and managing a team of Testers to coordinate systems integration testing, manage user acceptance testing, test automation and performance testing.
Matrix team interaction is part of day to day working; therefore strong communication skills both verbal and written are essential.
Ability to manage and motivate a remote team is also essential.
Requirements:

Higher Education Degree/Diploma in computing or a related numerate subject

3+ years experience in test management role, leadership experiences with

3+ non-traditional systems an advantage

4+ years experience as a senior tester/test lead, Knowledge derived from

4+ extensive testing design and execution

Experience of testing applications developed using various development methodologies e.g. waterfall methodology. Agile, RAD etc

Varied knowledge of database, development, system engineering, and networking concepts

Possesses and applies strong knowledge of IT principles and practices.

Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet business needs.

Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills

Knowledge of testing methodologies and tools (Rational Requisite Pro, Rational Test Manager, Rational Robot, Performance / load testing tools like LoadRunner)

Knowledge of defect tracking tools

Ability to read and understand requirements and design document

Leadership skills and ability to work with and motivate a team
